The Space and Astrophysical Plasmas Group is a multidisciplinary group engaged in a wide range of research activities in the fields of solar, heliospheric, magnetospheric and astrophysical plasma physics. Activities in the group are divided between theory, instrumentation, space and ground-based observations, data analysis and laboratory studies.

We are currently involved in several flight missions (for example, Cassini, Ulysses and Cluster and STEREO) and are also working on a number of upcoming flight programs (such as THEMIS, a mission to study geomagnetic storms, and JUNO, a mission to study Jupiter's internal structure, dynamics, composition and magnetosphere).
