 Climate Physics: Projects

CloudSat Icon CloudSat
CloudSat is an experimental satellite that will use radar to study clouds and precipitation from space. CloudSat will fly in orbital formation as part of the A-Train constellation of satellites (Aqua, CloudSat, CALIPSO, PARASOL, and Aura).

ECCO-Ices Icon ECCO-Ices
ECCO-Ices is an ECCO-follow-on project that aims to produce increasingly accurate syntheses of all available global-scale ocean and sea-ice data at resolutions that start to resolve ocean eddies.

GRACE Icon GRACE
GRACE, the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment, twin satellites launched in March 2002, are making detailed measurements of Earth's gravity field which will lead to discoveries about gravity and Earth's natural systems.
