Biography

Dr. Herman is an experienced Research Scientist at JPL, interested in the application of infrared spectroscopy to study atmospheric water and water isotopologues, clouds, climate, and their interactions - both through remote sensing and in-situ measurements. He is an expert in geophysical/atmospheric satellite validation. He is also the Principal Investigator of the JPL Laser Hygrometers for in-situ measurements of atmospheric water vapor, with experience in aircraft, untethered balloons, and Uninhabited Aerial Systems (UASs) instruments.
