Research Interests
  • Star Formation: multi-fluid non-ideal MHD simulations; molecular cloud fragmentation; molecular cloud core contraction; envelope accretion; magnetic winds around protostars
  • Large-Scale Star Formation: interpretation of large-scale star formation laws; star formation, feedback, and their effect on galaxy formation; implementation of star formation recipes in cosmological simulations
  • Observational Tests of Star Formation Theories: ages of molecular clouds, formation timescales of molecular clouds, cloud cores, and protostellar objects; shapes of molecular clouds and molecular cloud cores; magnetic field orientation in molecular clouds; MHD modeling of specific molecular clouds; density and velocity profiles of molecular cloud cores
  • Dusty Plasmas: dynamical effects of dust grains on MHD waves and instabilities; grain coagulation and surface chemistry
