Research Interests
  • How microbes and microbial communities have influenced the geologic history of the planet, how they impact the geochemistry of present subsurface ecosystems, their impact on infrastructure corrosion and how they can be used to process emerging technologies such as nanomaterials.
  • Microbiology, geochemistry and materials science, and an understanding of the physiology that occurs at the interface between cells and inorganic surfaces.
