Padmavati Yanamandra-Fisher

Dr. Yanamandra-Fisher is a physicist and astronomer, with research interests primarily focused on outer planets (atmospheres and ring systems). She has participated in data analysis of Voyager and Galileo missions; and developed her own ground-based observing program to study Saturn and its rings from near- to mid-infrared (imaging, spectroscopy and polarization). Current research interests include the study of chemistry and physics of water ice and astrostatistical analysis of large planetary data sets. Dr. Yanamandra-Fisher is also involved in education and outreach by actively mentoring students via JPL's many internship programs.
