Research Interests
  • EOS-ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer) data especially matters relating to separation of temperature and emissivity and spectral differentiation of earth forming materials particularly in the thermal infrared
  • Thermal infrared remote sensing techniques as they apply to geologic problems with emphasis on volcanic terrains and their weathering products and on emissivity of hot lava
  • Using thermal IR and visible near-IR data for differentiating plutons in the Sierra Nevada, White Mountains and Inyo Mountains
