Biography

Dr. Se-Hyeon Cheon is a Postdoctoral Research fellow in the Sea Level and Ice Group, in the Earth Sciences Section. He obtained his Engineering Ph.D. at Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea. During the first two years at SNU, He dedicated to the reliability design of coastal structures to cope with climate change. Then, he came to Old Dominion University to reconstruct sea level and wave around the Korean Peninsula over 1900-2014. His research interests are: 1) Reconstructing of Terrestrial Water (TW) and Sea Level (SL). 2) Subtracting the interannual and decadal variability from SL and TWS.
