Curriculum Vitae:

Kristen Zuraski

Dr. Kristen Zuraski is a postdoctoral research fellow in Stanley P. Sander’s Kinetics and Photochemistry Laboratory Group of JPL’s Earth Sciences Section. Her work focuses on reactions important to the Earth’s atmospheric HOx balance by isolating elementary reactions in a controlled laboratory setting to see how they behave in varied environments.

Education
  • Ph.D., University of Southern California, 2018
  • B.S., Michigan State University, 2012

Research Interests

Understanding the interplay between small molecular species and their role in maintaining balance within the atmospheres of Earth and other planets.

Projects

Kinetics and Photochemistry Laboratory Icon Kinetics and Photochemistry Laboratory
This program works toward improving the understanding of reactions and photochemical processes that occur in the atmospheres of Earth and planets.

Professional Experience
  • 2018-present: NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow at NASA: Jet Propulsion Laboratory
  • 2017: Graduate student intern at NASA: Jet Propulsion Laboratory
  • 2013-2018: Graduate research assistant and teaching assistant for the Chemistry Department at the University of Southern California

Selected Awards

NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellowship (2018)
