Biography

Prior to working at JPL, Dr. Daniel Cheng’s work involved the use of machine learning applied to the processing of remote sensing data products. This was focused on the automatic extraction of glacial features, for use in modeling frameworks such as the Ice-sheet and Sea-level System Model. At JPL, his work focuses on the state estimation of the Greenland and Antarctic Ice Sheets using ISSM, to provide controls on ocean models at the ice-ocean interface.
