Community Service

  • Astrobites Author (2024-2026): Writer for a daily astro-ph journal covering papers, interviews of Astronomers, socio-political and other events within the Astronomy community.
  • Letters to Pre-Scientist Program (2025-Present): A pen-pal program that pairs middle/high-school students with STEM professionals for yearlong letter exchanges to introduce students to STEM careers and give them guidance on pursuing scientific work and research.
  • Skype-A-Scientist (2021-Present): Invited talks for classrooms in schools around the world virtually and in-person, as a part of a global program to connect various groups of the public to scientists.
  • Hawai’i Astronomy Outreach (2021-2026): Public events, institutional events with the university and observatories, Journey through the Universe (classroom-based educational outreach)
