DSOC Description:

The Deep Space Optical Communication system (DSOC) is a technology demonstration project comprising three terminals: the Flight Laser Transceiver (FLT) instrument launching on the Psyche spacecraft, the Ground Laser Transmitter (GLT) instrument installed at the Optical Communications Telescope Laboratory (OCTL) at JPL’s Table Mountain Facility (TMF), and the Ground Laser Receiver (GLR) instrument installed at Caltech’s Palomar Observatory Hale Telescope.
