RIME, the Radar for Icy Moon Exploration, is a radar sounder designed to probe the icy crusts of Jupiter's satellites. It will fly on the European Space Agency's Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) mission. The overall science objectives of the mission for the icy satellites are to:
characterise Ganymede as a planetary object and possible habitat
explore Europa’s recently active zones
study Callisto as a remnant of the early Jovian system
